Midwife
Originally from rural northwest Iowa, Anne grew up spending time on her grandparents’ farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong connection to community values. With both of her parents working in healthcare, she was naturally drawn to a career where she could make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Anne earned her bachelor’s degrees in biology and nursing from Augustana College in South Dakota. After working as a hospital RN for several years, she went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse-Midwifery focus from Philadelphia University in 2011.
Now with over a decade of experience, Anne provides personalized, full-spectrum women’s health care, including:
-
Obstetric and postpartum care
-
Lactation counseling and breastfeeding support
-
Family planning and contraception
-
Preventative gynecology and wellness exams
-
Colposcopies
-
Preventative health screenings
-
Menopause care
-
Pelvic floor health support
Anne believes in building trust through collaboration and open dialogue. She aims to create a respectful, welcoming space where patients feel empowered and involved in their care.
Anne joined Glacial Ridge Health System in August 2025, drawn to its team-based approach and commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. She values the warm and welcoming nature of the area and feels grateful for the opportunity to provide full-spectrum care in the welcoming communities of Glenwood and Starbuck.
When she’s not seeing patients, Anne enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons. You’ll often find her outdoors—on the lake, exploring trails, or walking her two dogs.
